AI iris artwork from your own eye photo

IRISORA turns an eye photo into an artwork in two steps. This page explains what the artificial intelligence does, what is preserved from your real eye and where the limits are.

Step 1: the true-to-life iris

First, a cut-out, roundly aligned iris is computed from your photo. The goal of this step is colour accuracy and visible fibre structure, not effect. This intermediate result is the basis for everything that follows.

Step 2: the art style

In the second step a generative image model creates a motif in your chosen style. The style defines colour mood, surroundings and composition; the iris stays the central element.

Because the model is generative, every result is unique. Two runs with the same style will not produce an identical image.

What is preserved from your eye

The process is designed to keep the colour, fibre pattern and pupil edge of your iris recognisable. It is still an artistic interpretation, not a documentary reproduction of your eye.

How to read style previews

The previews in the gallery and in the style picker come from real runs, but they show other people's irises. They are rough examples of a style's direction. The style description explains what defines it.

What we explicitly do not promise

  • No medical or diagnostic statement about your eye
  • No biometric identification or recognition
  • No exact reproduction of a macro photograph

How your images are handled

Your uploads are processed solely to create your images. Details on storage and deletion are in the privacy policy.

Frequently asked questions

Will the artwork really look like my eye?
It is built on your real iris and the pattern stays recognisable. Depending on the style, the artistic transformation is stronger or subtler.
Can I try several styles?
Yes. Two artworks are included per iris, and more can be added for an additional fee.
